Tegner Road Over Turlock Irrigation District Lateral No. 5 Bridge Replacement

The Tegner Road Over Turlock Irrigation District Lateral No. 5 Bridge Replacement Project, located southwest of Turlock in Stanislaus County, involved replacing a critical canal bridge at a busy intersection surrounded by farmland. Bid in July 2018 and launched in November 2018, The project required maintaining heavy traffic flow throughout construction. American Paving Co. implemented a phased closure and short-term detour to ensure safety and minimize disruptions. Key work included removal of the old bridge, installation of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure, new concrete barrier rail, metal beam guardrail, and reconstruction of nearly a quarter lane-mile of roadway.
