Construction on State Highway in Monterey County

This project consisted of placing a polyester concrete overlay, treating bridge decks with methacrylate, approach slab removal and replacement, and joint seal replacements. This work was performed at seven different locations: three near King City on Hwy 101 and four near Monterey on Hwy 1. All work was performed at night due to traffic control restrictions placed by Caltrans. Approach slab removal and replacement required a freeway closure and all work had to be completed in one shift to allow traffic back on the freeway.
