Barstow Avenue Class IV Bikeway Project

The Barstow Avenue Class IV Bikeway Project bid in January 2023. APC provided the second lowest bid, but the City of Fresno rejected the low bidder due to an incorrect bid bond. The $2.23M project was awarded to APC a few months later. The project included reconstruction of the pavement on Barstow Avenue for one half mile and then crack filling and slurry sealing for another one and a half miles. The full two miles of roadway was then re-striped with upgraded bikes lanes and four traffic signals were upgraded with a camera system designed to detect bicyclists.
